I haven't finished it but that doesn't matter.
Anyways, I honestly don't understand why everyone is so worked up over why Jacob imprinted on Bella's child. It's not like he thinks of her sexually or anything. And it may come to that in the future when the child is old enough but then again it may not. The only one who really knows that is the author.
I can't stand it when people take things in books so seriously when they don't know the who story. I wish that it could be that the author could write down everything they know about each and every character and give a short description of what happens to them on a daily basis. Maybe then people would stop complaining about how some things are.
Why should the age difference matter? It's not like imprinting gives you a choice. If it did then I'd say go ahead everyone, be grossed out that Jacob imprinted on one so young.
And I'm sorry to all you Mary-Sue haters out there that Bella is so perfect, I'm sorry there's yet another vampire author who wants their vampires to be being thats are so alluring physically and don't have trouble with almost everything they come across. You should have figured that's what Bella would come to when you read the other books. Why anyone who had problems with the other books even thought about reading Breaking Dawn is beyond me. You knew it was most likely going to be just like the others and still you read it and then feel you just HAVE to complain about it.
I'm not saying this book is the greatest. I really like this book and am enjoying reading it. Yes, there are some things that I think can be changed and all because it seemed they're only in there because the author thought they'd make people laugh or whatever (like the whole Nessie thing, but that also seems like it's just Jacob's personality).
Can't we just read the book as just another story? Why does it have to live up to everyone's standards? If you don't like books like that, don't bother reading past the first. It's as simple as that. If it pains you so much to read that then just don't.
I'm so tired of hearing everyone complain about this book and attack the author and the publishers. Just leave them be. If you don't like the book, so what? There's plenty of other people out there who love this book and the other three. Others who love the way the author writes and loves the stuff she created.
To me the books aren't so much about the plot development as they are about how each character is dealing with what's going on around them. We may only get to see Bella and Jacob's point of views (and pretty soon we'll get to see Edward's) but still. We rarely get to go inside the mind of the characters this much and I for one love it. So many people were disappointed in the other books because of the lack of plot. I don't think these books are really about the big things that happens in them. I believe they are more about the relationship between all the characters. The big stuff is added to give them some more excitement in their lives and in the story. Not that it needs it, I'd be perfectly fine with reading a normal romance story.
